HOW DOES THE PELLET STOVES AND BOILERS WORK?
The dashboard is located on the back of the top plate and consists of an LCD display and 6 buttons. The display shows all important information about the current condition of the stove/boiler. The dashboard allows you to communicate with an electronic controller by simply pressing certain buttons. By pressing the corresponding buttons, it is possible to access various menus in which there are various kinds of display of the current status of the stove/boiler, as well as in which the desired operating mode is easily programmed.
You can program the stove/boiler in detail at a daily or weekly mode, and optionally you can order a WIFI control module. This provides additional comfort in using the stove/boiler and maximum fuel savings throughout the heating season.
HOW MUCH IS PELLET CONSUMPTION?
The consumption of pellets depends on many factors, and it depends directly on how many hours the stove will work during the day and at what power. The stove can operate at one of the 5 power levels, depending on which one you choose, or which electronic controller automatically selects based on the system parameters (water temperature, room temp, etc..). The consumption of pellets at each power is different, e.g. our 21 kW stove consumes 1.6 kg of pellets at minimum power and consumes 4.8 kg pellets per hour at maximum power. You can find the consumption for each stove in the technical characteristics of the stove.
HOW MUCH IS THE HEAT POWER OF THE PELLET AND HOW DOES THE PELLET'S QUALITY AFFECT THE OPERATION OF THE STOVE?
The heat power of one kilogram of pellets ranges from 4.6 to 5 KWh / kg, depending on the manufacturer, i.e. types and quality of pellets. The proper operation of the stove depends on the selection of pellet, the poor quality pellet leads to problems in obtaining the desired energy power, that is, it directly affects the quality of the heating in the premises. It indirectly affects the stove maintenance (it complicates ignition and combustion, makes cleaning of the firebox more difficult, it can cause errors in the stove operation and reduces the life of the stove). It is very important that the pellets are stored in a dry place. It is not desirable to store pellets in bags exposed to atmospheric conditions. The too wet pellet leads to poor combustion and can also lead to blockage of the worm conveyor (auger mechanism).
HOW MANY TONS OF PELLETS CHANGE CUBIC METER OF WOOD?
One ton of pellets changes 3 – 3.5 meters of wood.
WOULD I USE OTHER FUEL MATERIALS IN THE PELET STOVES, EXCEPT WOOD PELLET?
No, any other fuel can endanger the normal operation of the stove and may shorten the life of your stove.
CAN I USE PELLET STOVES AND BOILERS FOR CENTRAL HEATING WITHOUT WATER?
They must not be used without the connection to the radiators system. Structural damage to the stove and the boiler can occur, and cause irreparable damage to your device.
CAN PELLET STOVES WORK WITHOUT CHIMNEY?
It is not allowed to install a pellet stoves without a chimney. All pellet stoves require a chimney diameter of 80-120 mm for air stoves, or 120 – 160 mm is for hydro pellet stoves and boilers for central heating. The chimney draft must be 10-12 Pa for air stoves, and 12 – 14 Pa for hydro stoves and boilers.
DO I NEED ELECTRIC ENERGY FOR THE WORK OF STOVES AND WHAT IS CONSUMPTION?
Electricity is needed for the operation of the stove, because the electronics have a couple of motors, an electric lighter and stoves with a boiler have a pump. The average power consumption is about 100W per hour.
WHAT NEEDS TO BE SET BY USER OF THE PELLET STOVE?
The user can set:
• Ambient temperature (room in which the stove is located),
• Water temperature in the boiler (in the stove with boiler),
• The power of the stove.
When the stoves achieves the set temperature (water or ambient temperature), then electronics reduces the power of the stove and entering the modulation mode (operation with minimum power – maintaining the flame) or entering Stand-By mode and returning to normal operation when these temperatures fall.
CAN I SET THE STOVE TO TURN ON/OFF ITSELF AT A CERTAIN TIME?
You can. Up to several times during the day. In all BLIST’s stoves you can adjust CHRONO clock, 3 times of ignition and shutdown for each day separately, for whole week and weekend at some other time, and optionally you can order a WIFI controller so that you can control the operation of the stove using the application from your smart mobile phone.
DO I NEED TO CLEAN PELLET STOVE?
YES, IT IS MANDATORY and must be regularly cleaned according to the instructions given by the stoves manufacturer. It is ideal to clean the stove before each starting the stove, when it is still cold. Maintaining a pellet stove is one of the most important things for the proper and smooth functioning of the stove. Maintenance can be divided into daily, weekly, occassional cleaning, and at the end of the season (once a year).
IS CONDENSATION CREATED IN SMOKE PIPES DUE TO THE LOW TEMPERATURE OF THE EXHAUST GASES?
Condensation can occur. In order not to be condensed, the smoke pipes and chimney should be well insulated, especially in the area where they come out from the outside, and where the flue gases are intensively cooled.
WHAT IS THE EXPECTED TEMPERATURES OF EXHAUST SMOKE GASES?
The operating temperature at maximum power, depending on the model, ranges from 80 ºC to 150 ºC at the hydro pellet stoves and pellet boiler, and from 170 ºC – 220 ºC at air pellet stoves.
