CAUSE / SOLVING

WEAK HEATING POWER

C: Poor fuel.
S: Use better fuel (with higher calorific power).

C: Weak flue draught (weak air circulation).
S: Increase chimney height e.g. to more than 6 m. In order that stove work properly the necessary flue draught must be 12 ÷ 14 Pa.

C: Clogged chimney / smoke pipes.
S: Clean the chimney / smoke pipes.

C: Too strong flue draught (too strong air circulation).
S: Decrease air circulation (by adjusting input air and/or stack valve regulator).

C: Too much radiators in the system.
S: Reduce number of radiators connected to the system. The maximum volume of water in radiators should be equal to twice the value of water in boiler volume. Distribution pipe system should not be too long and non-insulated, or passing under the ground.

C: Weak circulation in the system.
S: There must not be submerged radiators (pipes must not be lower than the boiler). Vent the radiators.

WEAK HEATING OF THE ROOM WHERE THE STOVE IS PLACED

C: Too big room with regard to the radiant power of stove.
S: Add radiator to the room where the stove is placed.

SMOKE EXITS PERIODICALLY FROM THE DOOR AND/OR BELOW TOP PLATE

C: Low chimney (weak air circulation).
S: Extend the chimney.

C: Clogged chimney.
S: Clean the chimney.

C: Another stove installed on distance lower than 2m on the same chimney.
S: Turn fire off on one of the stoves.

C: A crack in the chimney or an open revision to clean the chimney.
S: Clog all the cracks in the chimney, and make sure that all the doors and revisions on the chimney are tightly sealed.

C: Damaged schamotte powder or sealant tape under the top plate.
S: Remove the top plate and fix the sealing with schamotte powder and/or fireresistant sealant tape.

WATER LEAKS WITHIN THE STOVE

C: Occurrence of condensation, because of starting the cold stove (It happens most often in the morning when the stove is turning on (firing fire)).
S: The condensate will evaporate and disappear when the stove and the boiler becomes hot.

C: Occurrence of condensation because using fuel with big humidity percentage.
S: Use better quality fuel.

LOW TEMPERATURE ON THE OUTPUT LEAD PIPE

C: There is no circulation of water in the system.
S: Check the water pump and/or other elements in the system (whether the valves are open).

C: Too much radiators in the system.
S: Reduce number of radiators connected to the system.

C: Defective thermostat.
S: Check the thermostat or replace it.

CAN THE SOLID FUEL STOVE FOR FLOOR/CENTRAL HEATING BE USED WITHOUT WATER?

Can not. It may cause structural damage to the stove and the boiler.

CAN I USE WET WOOD FOR HEATING IN SOLID FUEL STOVE FOR FLOOR/CENTRAL HEATING?

Wet wood is not recommended, exclusively dry. Wet wood can be problematic in achieving the desired temperature in the system, and in order to achieve the desired temperature the consumption will increase.
